Are you a fan of tight three part harmonies, early ’90s country music, and some straight up Southern twang? Then you’ll love Highway Home, a new trio that is hitting the country music scene with a vengeance. Comprised of Stanton Langley, Connor Sweeney, and Eamon Owens, the group has already accomplished a great deal during its rapid rise. In March 2026, they graced the Mother Church stage, opening for Greylan James and Pricilla Block at the Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville. Then, in June 2026, not only did they make their debut CMA Fest appearance, but they also signed a record deal with Warner Records. Many early listeners have compared them to groups like Rascal Flatts, Restless Road, and Lady A. These guys are special and unlike anyone else.
One of the things that makes this trio unique is that they were all singer songwriters before coming together for this project. Usually, with a group like this, there is a lead vocalist that everything and everyone kind of stacks behind. Not here. All three hold their own and make up what we are coming to know as Highway Home. The group has already shared stages with some of the genre’s biggest stars, including Sara Evans and George Birge. So where did they come from? Who are they?
Stanton Langley, originally from Alabama, has spent years in Nashville honing his craft as a songwriter and artist. Not only is he a great songwriter, but he is also one hell of a guitarist. This is one thing that separates him from many country artists. The fact that he plays all of his own lead parts, writes, and sings makes him a true triple threat. Stanton has said that before moving to Nashville, he played in bands, but eventually reached a point where he wanted to focus on country music. There’s no better place to relocate to than Nashville, Tennessee, so that’s exactly what he did.
Connor Sweeney, born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, already has quite the musical history. Sweeney attended Clemson University and became well known around campus by playing tailgates and bars every chance he got. In 2023, the Clemson student newspaper named him “Best Local Musician.” He also appeared on Season 22 of NBC’s The Voice and had already built a following through his solo career. Before Highway Home, he fronted The Connor Sweeney Band and released original music as a solo artist. He spent time in North Carolina near Greenville and Clemson before eventually moving to Nashville.
Eamon Owens, originally from Georgia, moved to Nashville to pursue his songwriting and artist career but before this project, he was already performing as a solo artist around the Nashville area. Like the other members, he is a huge part of why they sound the way they do. The three-part harmonies only work because each member can carry a lead vocal while also providing harmonies for the others. Highway Home formed in 2023 when Eamon, Connor, and Stanton discovered their shared love for ’90s country music.
As of right now, there is a good amount of music from the trio available on streaming platforms. Their debut single, “Broken As Mine,” was released in March 2025, followed by “Trash Out the Trailer” (July 2025), “Lay Over” (July 2025), “Look at You” (2025), “Ring on Red” (2026), “Missin’ You Goes” (2026), and their most recent release, “No More Drinkin’ Songs” (June 2026).
What can we expect moving forward? With multiple releases already available on streaming platforms, a Ryman appearance, and a CMA Fest appearance in 2026, it’s safe to say they’re just getting started. More music? Definitely. A tour? Possibly. More honky tonk twang? Absolutely. Keep your eyes and ears on this trio.
