Rowdy Alternative Podcast – Giovannie Yanez Takeaways

On this last episode of the Rowdy Alternative podcast, we have Giovannie Yanez of Giovannie and the Hired Guns. We kick it off by talking about his experience headlining Larry Joe Taylor Fest recently, which was super surreal for him. That leads into a conversation about his “oh shit” moments, which is obviously when the group won the iHeartRadio award for best new rock and alternative artist of the year. Gio and his bandmate’s unique style incorporates elements of rock, hip hop, Latin and more, which is what makes them stand out.

We get a bit of info on their upcoming album, Land of the Lost, which is heavier than their previous records, and explores themes of love, regret, and personal struggles. Gio finds writing and performing music to be therapeutic and a great way to express his emotions. The band also puts a lot of thought into their live shows and aim to create an immersive and energetic experience for the audience.
