Hudson Westbrook Drops New Single, “Pretty Privilege”

Rising star Hudson Westbrook unveiled his new single, “Pretty Privilege,” on Friday via River House Artists. Marking his first release since the Top 10 debut album Texas Forever dropped in July, the track redefines the often-derogatory phrase with an affectionate spin. Co-written by Westbrook alongside Lukas Scott and Beau Bailey, “Pretty Privilege” blends sharp songwriting with Westbrook’s signature Southern charm, and it’s already closing in on one million Spotify streams.

Over a breezy, 6:8 track, the song kicks off with Westbrook painting the image of a Dallas girl for whom everything – drinks, bar access, attention – comes easy. The chorus has him confessing that he can’t help but put her on a pedestal, along with the rest of the world. In verse two, Westbrook goes on to describe why she deserves the attention: “it’s like heaven had something to prove.” With masterful wordplay and earworm melodies that keep the song playing in your head for hours, “Pretty Privilege” is Westbrook at his absolute best.

It also arrives as he continues his headlining tour.  Check to see if he’s hitting your town here, and listen to “Pretty Privilege” below!
