Thursday night, Miranda Lambert brought down the house with an hour and 45 minute set full of hits, deep cuts, and new songs from her latest record, Crisco. She spoke about what an honor it was to be the very first artist to perform at Nashville’s newest venue. The Truth, a Live Nation-owned property located at 440 Chestnut Street in Nashville’s Wedgewood Houston neighborhood, holds roughly 4,400 people. The state of the art concert venue and music hall was inspired by the songs and sounds that built Music City, hence its name, a nod to the old saying, “All country music is three chords and the truth.”
Not only did Lambert rock the night with her traditional band, but she was also accompanied by a full 12 piece string section. It made for quite the show and a performance unlike anything Lambert has done before. A surprise appearance by the one and only Chris Stapleton was one of the highlights of the night. He joined Lambert onstage to perform their co-written and previously released collaboration, “A Song to Sing.”
Lambert delivered hit after hit with the entire crowd in the palm of her hand, performing powerhouse songs like “Gunpowder & Lead,” “Kerosene,” and “Mama’s Broken Heart,” along with fan favorites like “Tin Man” and “Bluebird.”
Miranda Lambert’s career has now spanned more than two decades and earned her an incredible list of accolades. Just to name a few, Lambert is a three-time Grammy winner, has earned 40 Academy of Country Music Awards and 14 CMA Awards, and is the most-awarded artist in ACM history. More than 20 years into her career, she’s still doing it and she’s still the powerhouse she’s always been.
Lambert’s newest record, Crisco, released October 2, 2026, is a collection of country-infused disco songs. Lambert explained that, at this point in her career, she wanted to try something new, something she had never done before. At one point during the show, she even said that this very well could have been her favorite show she’s ever performed.
It was a perfect way to break in Nashville’s newest venue.
