If you’ve been paying attention at all to the Texas music scene in the past year or so, chances are you’ve seen Shelby Stone’s name pop up somewhere.
Stone got her start around the musically rich Fort Worth area, where her raw, no-frills approach to songwriting and gritty rock ‘n’ roll set her apart. With her signature edge, intense stage presence, and unwavering conviction, she carved out her own lane, building a loyal following through electrifying performances in clubs and festivals around the scene.
Shelby Stone made an immediate statement with her debut single, Each Other, a track that radiated raw energy, as well as earning a spot on 95.9 The Ranch’s Music Chart before it was even released. After the success of her debut, she followed up with releases such as How Much More, Easy Tiger, and This Time Around, continuing her rise in the Texas and Red Dirt music scene, with each tune showing her maturity, progression, and growing creative space.
2025 is already proving to be a breakout year for Stone. She launched into a new chapter of her career with standout performances at legendary venues including Cain’s Ballroom and Gruene Hall, as well as huge festivals such as Born and Raised and Steamboat Music Festival. Later this fall, she is set to drop her highly anticipated debut record, Silveryear, which is produced by Dalton Domino, PH Naffah of The Refreshments and Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, and Jeff Lusby-Breault. This record is absolutely going to put her on the map as a rising powerhouse in rock ‘n’ roll, and it’s important for you to hop on the train to watch her take off.
While we wait for Silveryear, we are treated to a music video for her brand-new song, Fire Escape. This live, loud, and loose rendition is exactly what you can expect from Shelby Stone, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
