It’s always a treat when we get some brand-new music from Jeremy Pinnell. It’s frankly a crime that an artist like Pinnell isn’t way bigger than he is – the music that he puts out is consistently fantastic in quality, songwriting is top tier, and the point that should be harped on most is the pure uniqueness of his sound, soul and personality that is spotlighted in every release. On May 21st, he dropped his newest single, Save You.
This single combines elements of technical precision and heartfelt artistry. Even from the first note, the melody is crafted masterfully, drawing us in immediately with a flow that is natural and eases from verse to verse. Instrumentally, everything is very tight and tickles the ear, with the performance feeling cohesive, powerful and in sync with the emotional tone of the song. Pinnell’s vocal work, as always, is great and spotlighted here in the best way.
He has this ability to inject something uniquely his into every track he touches, keeping his signature style fresh and ever-evolving, but also healthily grounded to the sound we all know and love. Also worth mentioning is that none other than Shooter Jennings manned the production side on Save You, giving it the top-notch quality that we can only expect from him and Pinnell.
