Grace Tyler Gets Real About Everything I Didn’t Say on OTR Episode 229!

It’s always a good time when Grace Tyler stops by the studio for a podcast episode! This time was extra special, almost a year removed from our first episode with the Texas native,Grace is back with a brand-new EP, Everything I Didn’t Say, a project that digs deep into heartbreak, self-discovery, resilience and most importantly a true story from Grace.

We kicked things off by talking about how life has changed since her last appearance—mainly, the breakup that shaped this record. Grace admitted she thought she’d be engaged this year, but instead, she found herself navigating a breakup that flipped her world upside down. The next day, she texted her manager, Anthony, saying, “I just want to say everything I didn’t say.” That became the name—and the mission—of this EP.

Each track on the six-song project tells a different part of the story, from heartbreak to healing.

“I Don’t Want to Know” – Written months before the breakup, this song eerily foreshadowed the end of the relationship. It captures that gut-wrenching feeling of knowing something is wrong but not wanting to face it.

“Weak Man” – The first song Grace wrote after the breakup, this one became her personal anthem. “It takes a strong woman to leave a weak man,” she sings, delivering a powerful statement on knowing your worth. She played it at a writer’s round the same night it was written and broke down mid-performance.

“Lose Me” – A brutally honest track about choosing yourself over someone who doesn’t see your value. One of the most striking lines comes from a real-life moment—Grace had saved every flower her ex ever gave her, only to realize they didn’t even fill a Ziploc bag.

“I Want to See You” – The only outside cut on the EP, this song perfectly captured something Grace actually did—showing up at a bar where she knew her ex would be, just to make sure he saw her looking good and moving on.

“She Wasn’t Crazy” – Inspired by the way her ex talked about his past relationships, this song flips the narrative. “I’m not crazy,” she said, “but I’ve thought about doing some crazy things.” Her powerhouse vocals make this one a standout, delivering the kind of belt-it-in-your-car moments that fans love.

“I Hope You Have a Daughter” – The most emotional song on the project and the only one Grace wrote alone. It started as an inside joke with a friend but turned into something much deeper. “I hope you have a daughter someday,” she sings, “so you have to console her through what my dad’s had to console me through.”

Now that the EP is out, Grace is embracing this new chapter—writing, playing rounds, and having a damn good time. She’s out and about more, meeting people, saying yes to everything, and living life in a way she hadn’t been able to for years. Everything I Didn’t Say isn’t just a breakup record—it’s a story of growth, self-worth, and resilience. And if this EP is any indication, Grace Tyler’s best songs are still ahead of her

Grace Tyler is just getting started, and this EP proves she’s got plenty more stories to tell. Everything I Didn’t Say is out now—stream it everywhere, and catch the full conversation on Episode 229 of Outside The Round
