Jasper Charles & Tyler Chambers of God Dog Talk Faith and Music on Episode 228 of OTR

In Episode 228 of Outside The Round, host Matt Burrill welcomes Jasper Charles and Tyler Chambers, the duo behind God Dog Brand, a faith-driven media platform that blends music, storytelling, and the outdoors. What started as a casual idea has grown into a movement, with their God Dog Podcast building a passionate community rooted in faith, songwriting, and outdoor culture.

Jasper and Tyler have both been in Nashville for nearly a decade, pursuing careers in country music and songwriting, but God Dog came about through a shared passion for faith, the outdoors, and storytelling. Tyler had long wanted to start a podcast but quickly realized it wasn’t something he wanted to do alone. At the same time, Jasper had been running Gullies, his own faith-based outdoor content brand. When they crossed paths, their similar creative goals and shared beliefs made launching God Dog a natural fit.

The name “God Dog” is a nod to their faith and their love for their German Shorthaired Pointers, Cotton and Kahala. Their podcast has grown into a safe space for open conversations about faith, life, and music, featuring guests like Dylan Marlowe, Jon Langston, Connor Smith, Ray Fulcher, and Josh Phillips, who share their personal journeys, struggles, and redemptions.

Jasper and Tyler both credit their faith for guiding them through the ups and downs of the music industry, and their podcast has become an extension of that. Their conversations aren’t just about music—they’re about real-life struggles, spiritual awakenings, and personal growth. They’ve had moments where guests unknowingly speak directly to something they’re personally going through, reinforcing their belief that God is always in the room during these conversations.

Beyond the podcast, God Dog is evolving into a full-fledged lifestyle brand. Their goal is to expand into merch, live events, and collaborations within the music and outdoor worlds, with hopes of establishing a presence at major outdoor expos like NWTF in the near future. While they’re passionate about growing the brand, their biggest goal is simple—to keep creating meaningful content that resonates with people and helps guide them in their faith journeys.

With their God Dog Podcast releasing new episodes every other Wednesday, their music careers continuing to evolve, and their message spreading across social media, Jasper and Tyler are proving that faith, music, and the great outdoors all belong in the same conversation.
