The iconic Red Dirt rock ‘n’ roll band, Micky & The Motorcars are back and better than ever.
On February 7th, the group dropped their newest single, The Heart Is Almost Gone. It’s been a while since they have put out anything new, so it’s certainly a treat to see some fresh Motorcars. The band, which includes Micky and Gary Braun to people who don’t know, sounds great as ever in this tune. The vocal work is still outstanding, and that classic Micky & The Motorcars sound is still present even after their progression and evolution over all these years. The Red Dirt style from the days of Ragweed, Reckless Kelly, Boland and all the other groups and artists that have cemented their place in so many fans’ hearts is still alive and well, which is proven in The Heart Is Almost Gone.
If you aren’t very familiar with the history of Red Dirt or never really dove into anyone’s discography who was involved in it, put Micky & The Motorcars near the top of that list. Yes, they have had a successful following over the years, but these guys still deserve to be heard by more people – and the people deserve it too.
