Sure, we all know Koe Wetzel, but a lot of people tend to brush over the pure talent of his band.
Mason Morris, bassist and harmonies for the Konvicts, just dropped his single, On Paper, on December 21st. In this tune, there’s a smooth fusion of rock and country, creating a killer sound that the Texas scene is owning right now. The melody is all there with a chorus that will be stuck in your head for hours. With that, the production is fantastic, and helps tie together the booming drums and ripping guitar riffs.
Mason Morris describes the genesis of the song like this:
“We were out on the road last year and it was after our show. Me and Seratto were hanging with our LD at the time, Taylor Moore. He says ‘hey boys, I’ve got a song I want to finish up.’ He riffed the chorus and we were hooked. He had started the song with Austin G out of Nashville! Been hooked on BillMuri this year, so we decided to give a little Muri vibe.”
