Jason Charles Miller Drops New Music Video for ‘I Need A Rescue’

Jason Charles Miller just dropped the official music video for I Need A Rescue, which is a track off of his latest record, Knives In The Dark. This tune features the legendary Ellis Hall, a keyboardist and vocalist known for his work with icons including Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle and Ray Charles. Hall’s soulful organ and powerful vocals add a whole layer of dynamic power to mix perfectly with Miller’s rock sound.
Miller says that I Need A Rescue unexpectedly became a nod to Deep Purple’s Mark III lineup, which for those who are unfamiliar, is the version of Purple that includes the iconic David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes – and era that gave us fantastic records like Burn and Stormbringer.
“I’ve often said that Burn has been one of the most influential albums in my life, and I think it’s one of the best rock albums in history, period,” Miller reflects.
The video, directed by Andrew Fogel, captures the raw energy of a live jam session, with Miller’s band alongside Ellis Hall creating an authentic, organic setting.
“I wanted to have a video where we are all just jamming the song, really vibing with it,” Miller states.
