There are tales as old as time about actors who try to pursue music, and it rarely works out – Grayson Russell is not one of those. He’s no stranger to that side of the coin, either. He’s been touring for twenty years, and even opened for seven Grammy Award winners. Blessed with a knack for songwriting, musical ability and a killer live show, Russell is grinding and pushing to put out his quality tunes to the masses. On October 18th, he dropped his new single, Corn And Kerosene.
Channeling some pure Southern Rock with a gospel aesthetic, this seems to be a sound that Russell really owns and takes pride in. Along with the sonic element to it, he does a great job at painting a picture of life in the south, with the danger and grit being spotlighted with the beauty of it all at the same time. The production is top notch, and really helps tie together the tune with a bow on top.
Grayson Russell is an electric human being, and if Corn And Kerosene doesn’t convey that to you, I don’t know what to tell you. We’re excited to see what he has in store for us fans, but in the meantime do yourself a favor and check out his new single!
