Frigga Five Release Debut Album, ‘Machine Man’

Frigga Five, the next biggest rock band out of Atlanta, finally dropped their debut album, Machine Man, on October 11th. Consisting of Kaleb Justice, Ryan Hall, Jia Lee, Alex Hall and Addison Whitney, this group explores every possible corner of the “rock music” genre – heaviness, modernity, melodies of every trait, and just putting their own creative spin on it to truly call it their own style.
Machine Man seems cryptic to the casual listener, but once you run through it a few times you understand the theme of the record – perhaps a struggle with identity and trying to keep human emotion through different struggles. Sonically, Frigga Five find a way to stand out with their infectious melodies and riffs – a great example being maybe one of their biggest songs, P.A.B. While there’s certainly a heavy element throughout the album, Machine Man still effectively delivers on emotional themes, which really says a lot about the way Frigga Five can illustrate feeling through their music, no matter the road they take.
This is a group to watch out for, especially if you are into heavier rock, or even metal. The Atlanta scene is slept on when it comes to up-and-coming acts like Frigga Five, one being another Raised Rowdy favorite, Silly Goose. Be sure to support bands like these, because rock is on its way to becoming the “cool guy in the room” again, so Frigga Five and their peers are going to be the ones next up in that line.
In the meantime, make sure you listen to their brand new debut album, Machine Man, out now!
