Matt Hillyer fronted the band Eleven Hundred Springs for over twenty years, traveling the world and releasing dozens of albums. He has been solo for a while now, and he’s hard at work. Hillyer is releasing his upcoming record, Bright Skyline, on June 21st, but while we wait for that, we are treated with a new music video for Moving Away, which you can see here first exclusively on Raised Rowdy!
“This song is based on true events. I live in the house I grew up in. My wife and I bought it from my parents. It’s a great neighborhood, but our next-door neighbors were always sketchy,” explains Hillyer.
“As friendly as we tried to remain, we always hoped for the day that they would move. This is how I felt when I got the news,” he remembers, “Filming the video was a blast! Rounding up friends who could appear as a sordid cast of characters, while not difficult, was just fun. We had to try and trash up the place and basically tell people to go wild. It was so much fun.”
