On this episode of the Rowdy Alternative podcast, Sam chats with Avery Stinnett, a Red Dirt artist out of Oklahoma. Stinnett got his start in the Stillwater music scene, which was a significant part of his journey. The live music in Stillwater is experiencing a resurgence with the constant waves of talent that sprout from the community. Stinnett was inspired by edgier rock acts in or adjacent to that scene, which include Koe Wetzel and Treaty Oak Revival.
Stinnett’s band came together and gelled immediately and created their own unique sound. They are primarily a rock-centric act, but he is open to exploring different genres, including country.
