Mac Saturn Gets Funky in New Single, ‘Sleep’

The Detroit Rock City group, Mac Saturn, is at it again with their newest single, Sleep, which was released on December 8th. These guys are a straight up phenomenon. You listen to this song or any of them for that matter, you don’t know if you’re listening to a late ‘70s Yacht Rock band, a disco group, or a funk act – that’s the magic, though. They captured the sound of the past, then made it fresh and consistently new with each of their releases.

The chiming guitar captures the aesthetic immediately while the four-on-the-floor drum pattern and groovin’ basslines cements Sleep down for a funky ride. Frontman Carson Macc’s vocals are great as always, this time specifically being reminiscent of Mick Jagger or Rod Stewart. If you weren’t aware already, Mac Saturn makes only head bobbin’, foot tappin’ music that will make you want to move, so it goes without saying that this tune is very danceable if that’s what you’re looking for.

Get hip to this hip band. Mac Saturn is going to be the next one up. In the meantime, go give their newest single, Sleep, a listen now!
