Texas rocker, Austin Meade, just dropped a music video for his most recent single, “BLACKOUT,” which was originally released this May. I’m going to take off my music hat and put on my film hat for a second. A lot of music videos released these days lack a sense of uniqueness. Any artist should be able to do absolutely whatever they want of course, but it’s always nice to see a video with a cool, fresh look or story. Meade has had a pattern of these. There also needs to be credit given to the behind-the-scenes crew, who include director Jon Vulpine, producers Daniel Livschutz, Bruno Briel and production company VILAS Entertainment.

Meade’s been on such a creative roll in recent years, each upcoming release is unpredictable – and that’s what makes his work so great. “BLACKOUT,” for example, is a hard-rocking banger with a hook that will stick with you for days on end. The melody is as solid as they come, along with the instrumental elements. The guitar work is off the chain and the production effects give the entire tune such a cool sound and aesthetic.
