Folk-rock band Goodnight, Texas and Rainbow Girls teamed up for a brand new single, “Tough.” Goodnight, Texas is a unique, rootsy sounding band consisting of two frontmen – Avi Vinocur and Patrick Dyer Wolf. Their group, along with the very soulful and talented Rainbow Girls, really pulled together quite the tune here. If you’re looking for artists who aren’t in the mainstream but will be blowing up soon, go listen to the catalog of these 2 groups.
“Tough” is one of those collaborations where the two voices match like peanut butter and jelly. The harmonization is spot on and flawlessly performed. The instrumental element is also performed exceptionally well, giving us a nice, swinging aesthetic that moves us through the song like an easy breeze. Production is great, rounding this out as a very solid tune.
If you want to be turned on to some bands you may not have known about, give Goodnight, Texas and Rainbow Girls a go. While you’re at it, get the best of both worlds and listen to the brand new single, “Tough.” You will not regret it.
