Kody West Releases New Renditions in ‘Acoustic Sessions (Vol. 1)’

Kody West is quickly gaining traction, especially in the last year or so. He has released an album called Circles with some killer tunes on it that will quickly become standards of his, he’s been playing all over the place, and now we have an acoustic EP. Acoustic Sessions (Vol. 1) is a collection of six songs, three of which are live at Dan’s Silverleaf in Denton, Texas. With “Vol. 1” in the title, it’s a pretty good bet that there will be some more tracks to come, and they cannot come soon enough.

“Shine Out” is what kicks off the EP and is also a live recording. This acoustic rendition is originally a track from West’s 2017 record, Green. The last tune in this collection is also from Green – the always fantastic “Million Miles.” Some newer songs on the EP are the unplugged versions of rockers like “Buried Alive” and “Let You Go,” which you can find on his most recent record, Circles. Rounding out the group are “Start a War” and “The Way,” which are equally premium.

We’re chompin’ at the bit for volume two. Maybe we’ll get some cuts from his recent Billy Bob’s performance? Time will tell. In the meantime, put on some stripped-down goodness from Kody West’s catalogue. Give Acoustic Sessions (Vol. 1) a gander today!
