Football is a fickle beast. One minute your favorite team is undefeated, and you’re looking into Super Bowl tickets. The next minute, Daniel Jones is running for his life every time he has the ball, and you just want to turn off the tv and go to bed. Relatable, right? No, only Giants fans? Anyway, betting is pretty much the same thing. Through week 1 I was 4-1, in first place, and on top of the world. A few weeks later, I’m 7-8, and dropping down the leaderboard faster than Dan Orlovsky running out of the end zone against the Lions in 2008 (NFL won’t let me post the video but I highly suggest looking it up).
It isn’t all bad news for the Raised Rowdy writers though. After strong weeks, Sara and Peyton are on top of the leaderboard. Both went 4-1, with the only wrong pick being the Steelers over the Browns. On the end of the spectrum is poor Evan. Evan is sitting at 5-10 after going 1-4 last week. Folks, don’t be like Evan. This week we have a bonus pick game. The NFL is playing overseas in London this weekend. The game will be at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. From kickoff on Sunday morning to the Sunday night game expiring, we are looking at over 12 hours of straight football. Hallelujah! This week will also feature a college game between SEC powerhouses #7 Kentucky and #14 Ole Miss. No… I’m not joking… Kentucky is turning into an SEC powerhouse.
