Ladies and gents, week 1 of the NFL season has come and gone, and man is it good to have football back. We saw blowouts, we saw upsets, we saw missed field goals everywhere, and it was pandemonium. Many playoff contenders like the Patriots, Packers, and 49ers took tough L’s. The 2 Super Bowl teams, the LA Rams and Bengals, both got beaten down. But, some teams’ misery led to other teams pleasure. The Browns are 1-0 for the first time since 2004. In fact, they were able to send their first 1-0 tweet EVER… let that one sink in.

My New York Giants are 1-0 for the first time since the Odell Beckham Jr. boat trip in January of 2017. The game ended on “Fat” Randy Bullock of the Titans missing a game winning field goal. For the first time in a long time, I remembered what it felt like to be happy after a football game. The NFL is off and running, and I couldn’t be more excited.
Now for the task at hand: the gambling. Last week, we asked 8 of your favorite Raised Rowdy writers to pick 5 games against the spread. If you need a quick reminder of what the games were, I took the liberty to list them below for ya. Remember, it’s against the spread. Although Alabama beat Texas 20-19, they didn’t cover the 20 points, thus giving people who picked Texas the win.

We have a long way to go. The NFL regular season is another 17 weeks long, plus 4 weeks of playoffs. Strong performances by myself and Jacob got us out to the early lead. That being said, the difference between first and last place is currently 2 games. Everyone is alive and could take the lead by having a good week. It’s that easy.
For the Week 2 picks, we will once again be turning to the Thursday Night, Sunday Night, two Monday Night, and one college matchup. Generally for college, I’ll pick the two lowest seeded teams facing off. This week, #13 Miami plays #24 Texas A&M, which tied with #12 BYU playing #25 Oregon. I decided to go with Miami/Texas A&M because let’s be honest, it’s a much more exciting matchup. Now, here are the lines for this week.
