Country? Metal? Cody Parks and The Dirty South Drop Killer Video for ‘Redneck Rich’

If you haven’t been to a Cody Parks and the Dirty South show, it’s time to change that. These fellas are a mix of the over the top rock and roll shows of the 80s with a dip in the Southern bayou for a nice swim with the gators.

They have grown quite the following in Nashville and are taking the show on the road this summer.

To help kick that off, they are dropping the video for the HEAVIEST song in their set, “Redneck Rich,” and we are proud to premiere it for y’all. Written by Cody Parks, Dawson Edwards, and Blaine Younger, the track tells the tale of a poor boy’s version of fun. Some people might look down on this version of life, but here at Raised Rowdy, we embrace the hard fought wide open life.

It’s a great song to give you a “day in the life” look at a wild Southern party with a rocking backbeat. Cody told us about the track: “I grew up country, but also grew up listening to bands like Pantera. We put those two things in a blender and ‘Redneck Rich’ was the result. The epitome of what we like to call Country Metal!”

So give this video a watch and be on the lookout for Cody and the boys plowing through a field near you.
