As everybody and their mother knows by now, Koe Wetzel has dropped some new music. After coming into his own with his last album, Sellout, Wetzel’s sound is now very identifiable and very unique, which is once again shown off in his newest single, “April Showers.” In a quick summary, the song is a melting pot sonically. From the opening riff you can pick up an almost pop-punk influence with a heavy dose of grunge throughout the chorus. If you can accept the experimentation done here and aren’t one of the “that ain’t country” people, you will really enjoy this tune. From the songwriting to the tone, it is all very Koe.
