Last we heard from Austin Meade, he dropped the album Black Sheep – a graceful departure from his Americana sound. He truly came into form and grew creatively since, and has attracted a new group of fans, played some incredible festivals, and shared the stage with acts that include Sevendust and even Metallica. Meade seems content with his current style, but that doesn’t mean he’s done yet.
On November 22nd, he released the music video to “Dopamine Drop,” a scorcher from his last record filled to the brim with heavier riffs, ripping harmonies, and Meade’s unique songwriting. The video contains clips from his shows throughout the summer, which really expanded his audience and brought his work to new ears all around the country.
Aside from that, the skit at the end was humorous for sure, but also had what appeared to be new music playing in the background. Later that day, Meade tweeted the below:
Those of us who have seen him play this past summer have had the sneak peak of what is to come in Meade’s future work, but it’s safe to say we are all chomping at the bit for some new music.
