Red Dirt icons Jason Boland & The Stragglers recently dropped two covers, and they definitely do them justice. The Stragglers released their versions of Steve Winwood’s “Back In The High Life Again,” as well as Bob Dylan’s legendary tune, “Times They Are A-Changin’.” The original renditions of these songs need no introduction, and Boland pays incredible tribute with his take on them.
Complete with their instantly recognizable sound, paired with Boland’s unique voice that will definitely hold its place in Americana/roots music history, The Stragglers prove once again that they haven’t lost it since their start twenty years ago. Boland and his band, who are known to have possibly the best debut album (Pearl Snaps) in Red Dirt history, are still going strong and can still run with the best of ‘em.
