Just when you thought a music video couldn’t get any better than Happier Alone, which was posted three months ago, Austin Meade one-upped himself with a new version featuring Texas/Oklahoma royalty, Koe Wetzel.
The best way to describe it is that it is a music video within a video… let’s call it “Meade-ception.” Without giving too much away, be prepared for a fun night at the skating rink in Brenham, TX, chock-full of cleaning toilets, whiskey and shoe sniffin’. Yeah I know what it sounds like, but you have to check it out for yourself.
As for the song itself, the addition of Wetzel’s vocals plays so well off of Meade’s original vocals and fits in very naturally. The original Happier Alone is a very monumental high point for Meade so far, but this new version can take him to even greater heights.
