spit·fire
/ˈspitˌfī(ə)r/
noun
a person with a fierce temper.
Sometimes a song or topic is so emotional it just comes out. A topic that is personal to you sometimes needs to be dug into all by yourself and in the songwriting world we call those tracks solo writes. That is exactly how Kasey Tyndall’s new single “Spitfire” came to be. Speaking on the most personal of topics – a woman’s demeanor and passion.
Kasey’s writing has really been developing over her career. Her use of more personal topics and emotions have really shown who Kasey truly is at this part of her life.
This track is no exception to that. A solo write, by a strong woman, about strong women. You can feel the love for the character in the song, but also you can sense that deep down this is a song about empowering oneself to be the best and truest form of themselves. Be real. Be tough. Be unabashedly who you are. Be a spitfire.
Don’t let someone tell you that you are too much or not enough. Be the best version of you and treat people right and at the end of the day you will find those who love and embrace you.
Kasey told us “I wrote Spitfire about my Momma. She’s a bad-ass. Cheers to all the other Spitfires out there!”
So raise a glass to all those fierce women out there. Whether it’s your Momma, someone else in your life or you yourself. Here is to those who aren’t afraid. Here is to the “Spitfire”.
