Austin Jenckes Drops Animated Music Video & Has A Bucket List Stage Debut Coming This Week

Nick Tressler Raised Rowdy Founder

Known for his vocal prowess and ability to croon with the best voices in Country music, Austin Jenckes’ music often gets you in the feels from the first listen.  His newest release “Never Left Memphis” is a little different from the tracks we are used to hearing from Austin.  That is in no way to disparage this track, honestly it is a testament to the range that Austin has vocally and musically. “Never left Memphis” is bluesy track that is perfect change up pitch in a live show.

Austin Jenckes dropped the video for “Never Left Memphis” recently. “To me, so much music comes from the blues that I wanted to write and record a song for the album that spoke to that. Blues and gospel were always on in the house when I was growing up,” Jenckes explained.

Animated by Delaney Royer and directed by Dylan Rucker, Jenckes’ concept was inspired by Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like,” set to animated Memphis visuals.  “This was the most fun I’ve ever had shooting a video,” he said. “Now, I know I could always be an air guitarist if my artist career doesn’t work out!”

After you guys check it out keep reading to hear about the big news Austin has coming up for October 17th.

Quickly becoming an Opry regular since his debut this summer, Jenckes will take part in the Opry Country Classics series on October 17th, performing on the historical stage at the Ryman Auditorium for the first time in his career.  Austin had this to tell us about what this stage means to him: “The Ryman is a special place. I can’t thank the Opry enough for having me back and also giving me the chance to perform in such a historic room for the first time.”

Austin just returned back to the USA recently after a successful tour through the UK and Europe. Jenckes has performed all summer across the US, including headlining this year’s Nash Next stage at the Watershed Festival since releasing  If You Grew Up Like I Did on May 31 via Anthem Entertainment.
