Country music more than anything is about relationships. For good or for bad, people and the emotions that come with them are what guide us through this journey called life. The power of music, specifically country music releases emotions that are often hard to explain in written words alone.
Sometimes it takes a melody and heartfelt words and sometimes it’s the look a man or a woman give to each other to really express a feeling. Often it takes this whole experience to truly get lost in what is happening in your world and be totally encompassed by something.
In “I’ve Been Around” Joe and Martina stop time. This song and the way it is played between a man and wife makes the world stop spinning on it’s axis for a few moments. It’s an uncommon occurrence in this fast paced world we live in. So when it happens, you need to take time and enjoy that happy tear welling up in your eye.
