Hailing from Eatonton, Georgia, Matt Rogers is no stranger to country music. Not only does Matt’s stage presence captivate, he has a knack for story telling song lyrics. With multiple songwriting awards and achievements, Matt continues to build upon his career. And now he has released a new single that is perfect for this time of year.

The Georgia native offers a new take on how to make summer vacation last forever with his new single “Burn the Boat.” Matt begins the song by detailing the hard work he’s put into saving his money in a mason jar to make a getaway to a remote beach location that is only accessible by boat. He then proceeds to sing about his plan to never return by letting the vessel float away or better yet, “burn the boat.” Matt’s grit and soulfulness is very apparent and showcased well in the song, making it sure to be a summer anthem that fits perfectly on a beach day playlist.
