American Idol alum, Gabby Barrett brings the HEAT with her latest song, “I Hope.” This incredibly written single is Gabby’s first release since her American Idol days and it was greeted by an anticipated fan base. “I Hope” was co-written by Gabby with all star songwriters Jon Nite and Zachary Kale. The song tells a vivid story, showcasing Gabby’s unique sound and powerhouse vocals.

“I Hope” begins as a sweet well wishing tune to an ex with lyrics like, “I hope you both feel the sparks by the end of the drive. I hope you know she’s the one by the end of the night. I hope you never ever felt more free, tell your friends that your so happy…” but quickly turns into a kiss-off anthem with Gabby letting the world know how she really feels about her hopes for her cheater of an ex boyfriend. Gabby belts the hook of the song, “and then I hope she cheats, like you did on me.”

Gabby prefaced the release of the song by saying, “I know what it’s like to go through a bad break up and not get to say what you really want to. This song is for anybody that has gone through the same.” And boy are we glad that Gabby told the world how she felt.

The official music video for “I Hope”, filmed in Nashville, TN was recently released along with Gabby’s announcement that she is heading back to the studio to continue working on her debut project with iconic producer, Ross Copperman. We are so excited to hear more from the upcoming release and to continue to watch Gabby grow!
