5 things you might not know about Ray Fulcher

Get to know ole Ray Fulcher a little bit better with these 5 fun facts.

Run Wild Horses Run

“My family had a few horses when I was a kid and used to barrel race them. I qualified for the 18 and under world finals when I was 13 in Memphis, TN.  I didn’t win or even place but it was awesome just to make it. I’d hardly ever been west of Atlanta.”

Learns Well With Others

“I have a bachelors degree and masters degree from University of Georgia, in education.  I was going to be a history teacher and a baseball/ football coach until I got the idea of moving to Nashville stuck in my head. I’m sure mom was thrilled.”

Run The DAMN Ball

“I worked for the football team at UGA as a student assistant/quarterbacks manager when I went to school there and then as a graduate assistant while I was getting my masters.  I was a HUGE UGA fan growing up, so that was my first dream I got to live out.”

Late Blooming Crooner

“I didn’t play guitar or write songs til I was 21.  My first Eric Church concert inspired that. It was a show at Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA. He played “Lightning” and I knew I had to at least try. I went and picked up a guitar the next day.”

I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry

“I have a yellow lab named Hank, after Hank Williams, obviously.  I always loved the lonely sound of his old heart break songs and my dog is the only one we kept from the litter of puppies we had so I figured he had to be lonely. So we named him Hank. His full registered name is “Larkin Hill’s Lonesome Hank”

Catch Ray on the road with his good buddy and frequent co-writer Luke Combs this summer and make sure to keep up with him on social media. A little birdie told us he’s got even more new songs coming our way soon!
