Jesse Daniel’s releases his new music video for “California Highway”

Take a trip back in time to the glory days of country western music with Jesse Daniel’s “California Highway” music video. “California Highway” is one of the ten songs off of Daniels 2018, self-titled album. Daniel sticks to his small town California roots in this up-beat breakup tune. The sound of radio static and stations switching from Hispanic music to small town talk shows sets the tone of the video’s rural western feel. Directed by Andy Zenczakand and produced by Gadgetbox studios, the video follows Daniel on a lovesick journey down the vast Mountain highways of California. In his vintage xlt Lariat, Daniel drives away from heartbreak and into a newfound peace. In his denim suit and cowboy hat, Daniel’s journey leads him to a smoky western bar in Salinas, which in reality is just an hour away from his hometown of Ben Lomond, California. Finally, Daniel takes the stage, where he trades in his denim for an old western shirt and serenades the locals at the bar.

It’s refreshing to see a new artist who brings back old school sounds but at the same time adds their own new twist. This video does a phenomenal job of blending the sounds together to create a fantastic project. I look forward to see what Jesse Daniel has in store for us in 2019. You can catch Daniel performing at the Ameripolitan Awards Showcase on February 24th in Memphis, Tennessee.
