Recently making a splash in the Nashville music scene, Julia Cole follows up her first full band single “Miss Love” with a tune that will surely have you tapping your feet. “Trust You” was written by Jeff Garrison, Rocky Block, and Julia herself. Together the trio combined a fun fusion of country and R&B that showcases the soul and passion behind the song.
“Trust You” is an anthem for anyone that has ever had someone be careless with their heart. The track details the ups and downs of knowing that certain person knows everything about you due to your history but still resisting the urge to fall back in their arms. Ultimately, because you can’t trust them. Julia reiterates her emotions singing the bridge and hook of the song, “boy you’re crazy if you think I’ll give it another shot, because I can’t trust you.”
Big things are ahead for rising star Julia Cole. After recently being named CMT’s Next Discovery Artist and having an EP debut in the top 10 of iTunes last year, we look forward to seeing Julia Cole continue to leave her mark with her distinct blend of Texas and soul.
