Isn’t it funny how love always seems to hit you when you least expect it? There you are just minding your own business, not looking for love, when suddenly… BOOM. Love blindsides you like a freight train. Just like that you find yourself caught up in that person, and nothing will be the same from that moment forward. That’s the story that Giovannie and the Hired Guns tell with their new single, “Lover Boy”, which drops February 1st on all major streaming platforms.
Giovannie tells us that the song is meant to show that “everyone that’s gotten their heart broken really bad eventually falls in love again”, and that optimistic tone is felt throughout the whole song. The track features that guitar-driven sound that we have come to know and love from the Guns. And the upbeat lyrics about this new-found love will surely have you singing along in no time. We expect big things from Gio and the Guns in 2019, with more new music planned in the coming months, and the addition of a fifth band member means we can surely expect their live shows to take it to the next level.
