Dawson signed a publishing deal with BMG in December 2017.

Sometimes life is all about owning up to who you are and not giving a damn what other people think. That is exactly what Dawson Edwards new single, Can’t Help It, is about and I absolutely love it. Written by Edwards, Alex Maxwell, Ryan Nelson and Trey Teem, this song will be the first single off of Edwards new EP, which will be available for pre-order and will be released March 1st.

According to Edwards the song is about “Just how redneck we are and we just can’t help it cause that’s just how we were raised.” Edwards reveals a Brantley Gilbert-esque sound in this up and coming redneck anthem. Also, look for the Cant Help It lyric video, which comes out on February 1st. The future is bright for Dawson as he has surrounded himself with a host of other talented artists and songwriters all on the come up. We cannot wait to hear his full project and will make sure to be back to tell you all about it when it is released.

Edwards will have an album release event on March 1st at Brewhouse Music & Grill in Rome, GA. So make sure if you are close you grab a ticket HERE.
