Today’s atmosphere of Country music allows artists to pull from other genres to create his or her own twist. North Carolina native Katie Noel has taken full advantage of that, rapping about country topics such as trucks and her love for the South. She decided to go back to her roots and release a traditional leaning single “I Sing Better When I’m Drunk.”

The topic of drinking has been a staple in country music for decades and this song is no different. With lyrics speaking of beer always being there for you when your friends aren’t and singing after having a few too many. “I got inspired to write the song because of friends who fall off the face of the earth,” she says. “If your friends constantly ghost on you or make you feel like shit, just go buy a pack of cold buds, sing at the top of your lungs and live your best life!”

Her multi-genre sound and persona allows Katie Noel to perform music in a way that only she can. Her musical career and business, Diesel Gang apparel, keep Noel constantly busy.
