This year’s special will be broadcast on ABC  August 8th starting at 8 PM and going to 11 PM. Hosted for the second year by young superstars Thomas Rhett and Kelsea Ballerini, you will get a darn good idea of what its like to attend this bucket list worthy event.

I remember the first time I saw this special. While having a group chat, we made plans to attend the next year.  After going just once, we have not stopped since. We keep coming back each year with more and more of our friends in tow.

This year’s special will give you the shot of country star power you are looking for. With 25 of your favorite (or soon to be favorite) artists, you are bound to hear music you love.  This year’s event, like most previous to it, had tons of special guests and surprises.  You will not be disappointed and you are bound to stay up past your bedtime dreaming of attending next years festival.

Let’s get into a little bit about the festival itself. CMA fest is ALL ABOUT THE FANS.  With more than 300 artists performing on 11 stages, you basically get to see almost any of your current favorites or up-and-coming stars.

On top of that, they do it all for a fantastic cause.

“Proceeds from CMA Fest are used to drive the CMA Foundation‘s mission of enriching and sustaining music education programs. Through strategic partnerships, professional development and grant distribution, the CMA Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3), has invested over $21 million in 85 programs across the national public school system, after-school programs, summer camps and community outreach organizations,” the website reads.

That’s right, all the artists perform for free! The proceeds go directly back into the community.  This really is a festival like no other.

So watch attentively to ABC’s broadcast and make your plans to get down to Nashville and see this event live.  It’s worth every penny you will spend on it!

The Lineup for the Special this year is as star studded as ever:
