Austin Jenckes Drops New Single “Home For The Summer” Ahead Of His Headlining Tour

Austin Jenckes will be a busy man this summer.  After making a name for himself on NBC’s ‘The Voice’, he has spent time opening up for many different artists. Now, Jenckes will make a west coast swing to headline his own “Home For The Summer” tour starting July 13 in Greenough, Montana.

While a headlining tour might seem to be overwhelming, Austin says, “This summer feels like a culmination of all those years and being able to headline some of these places is like a dream come true. It means a lot to me.”

His new single of the same name, “Home For The Summer”, encapsulates all the feelings and memories you’d expect to have when you get back to your hometown after any length of time away.

“It always surprised me how fast I remember the most random things the minute I drive through my home town.  All those memories are connected to a feeling and the song is about that flood of emotion,” he said.

With his name starting to gain familiarity and his music getting more play, it would be easy for Austin to lose sight of his roots but as he says he won’t forget those who stood beside him.

“There have been a lot of people around me to help remember where I started and I feel blessed to have that kind of support,” he said.
