Dusty Armadillo Concert Calendar
The Dusty Armadillo is located in Rootstown Ohio (20 minutes east of Akron). An Authentic Honky-tonk The Dusty get tons of amazing country artists from up and coming artists to multi #1 hit having artists from the 90’s.
The Setup
The stage is only slightly lifted due to low ceilings in the venue. This allows you to get right up front as there is not a huge gap between the acts and the crowd. There is a full bar in the back with merchandise on left. On the right is a pool table and bathrooms. A large dance-floor/ viewing area in front of the Stage. There is also a outdoor patio for when it is nice out or for smokers to use when necessary.
Country fans line up well in advance for larger artists so make sure to arrive as early as you can if you want to try to be at stage front.
Suds and Grub
The Dusty has a full service bar as well as a beer cart that runs during large shows. They always have specials including a shot of the night. The friendly and fun bartenders are used to handling high volume rowdy crowds so usually there is not a long wait for service.
The venue has a reasonably priced bar food menu perfect to build a solid base layer for the beverages you will consume through shows or before a night of dance lessons.
The Vibe
The Dusty is a classic Honky Tonk. Think no frills done right. Great hardwood dance floor if line dancing is your thing. If you do not enjoy country music and country people this is not the venue for you (but why would you be here if you were not comfortable around country music fans).
If you get there early you can get one of the first come first serve tables.
Tip
After each show patrons will stay and show off their line dancing skills. Bands of ten seem to stock around and enjoy some libations with remaining fans. Even if they do not the bartenders and regulars are always friendly and fun.
