Acoustic Wednesday: Timothy Baker’s “Country Kid”

Video work by Trey Bonner!

Timothy Baker is a singer/songwriter and Nashville recording artist born and raised in Krypton, KY (near Hazard). He began playing the piano at age 8, mandolin at age 9, and since then he has become an accomplished musician on the banjo, Dobro, harmonica, fiddle, bass, drums, and his primary instrument, the guitar.

Timothy was raised on bluegrass and gospel music influences, and spent much of his young life traveling the state with his family’s band, The Baker Family. As he entered high school, his musical interests drifted to other genres, specifically traditional and mainstream country, but his music still draws on his traditional influences. Timothy has played a variety of venues, including music festivals and the state fair, and has opened for acts such as Rhonda Vincent and Folk Soul Revival.

Country Kid is one of Timothy’s newest tracks and we hope you like it as much as we do!
