New Music Friday (Thursday edition) Feature: Korey Rose’s New Single “Cowboy Left In These Boots”

Korey Rose was born and raised in Kentucky (Born in Martin KY and raised in Lexington). Korey’s love for music started when he got his first guitar at the age of nine. At the age of twelve Rose started to sing along with cassette tapes of artists such as Keith Whitley, George Strait and Alan Jackson. These artists helped form his musical sound throughout his life.  In January of 2011, Rose enlisted with the United States Army and served for 7 years as an Infantryman. In that time he deployed twice to Afghanistan. Korey now plays all along the east coast trying to bring “what he loves about old school country music, back into today’s radio”.

Korey’s neo-traditional sound is something that oftentimes you do not find north of Texas . Think of his sound as a mixture of Aaron Watson and Justin Moore with a little bit of King George sprinkled in. If Korey’s full album (Due out late summer) is as good as this song we sure are in for a treat!

So give this one a listen and let us know if you enjoy it as much as we do! Make sure to keep up with Korey on social media to get a release date for his full project!
